Benjamin J. Haslam was born in Surrey, England in 1978. With an English father and American mother, he was naturalized as a U.S. citizen born overseas. Ben moved to Connecticut in 1991, where he lived for 2 years and acclimated to life in the United States, before moving to the Seattle area.
After completing his Bachelor's Degree at the
University of Washington with a degree in Ancient
History and Classics, Ben worked for both the City
of Seattle, and a downtown Seattle law firm, before
deciding to enter the practice of law. Ben attended
Santa Clara University’s School of Law where he was
selected as an editor for the School’s prestigious
Law Review, and also shined in several moot court
competitions. Following graduation with his Juris
Doctor degree, and admission to the Washington State
Bar in 2005, he served for two-years as law clerk
for the Hon. James H. Allendoerfer of the Snohomish
County Superior Court.
Prior to joining the Tsai Law Company in
2010, Ben ran a solo practice in Everett, WA. He
enjoys the fast-paced and hands-on nature of family
law litigation, while always seeking amicable
resolutions when possible. He is experienced in all
aspects of family law, and is also available to
assist clients in the areas of estate planning and
criminal defense. Ben is also dedicated to serving
the community, actively volunteering with both the
Housing Justice Project and the Snohomish County
Family Law Clinic, and received Pro Bono Publico
Commendations from the Washington State Bar for 2008
and 2009.
Benjamin Haslam is a member of the Washington State
Bar Association and the King and Snohomish County
Bar Associations.
